We design and build WordPress sites for Nashville businesses, and we run our own site on WordPress too. You get a site your team can update without calling a developer, that loads fast on a phone and that Google can read from the first page.
We build on WordPress because we run our own business on it
This site runs on WordPress, on the Genesis framework, hosted at WP Engine. Everything we recommend to you, we’ve had to live with ourselves.
In October 2026 we cleaned up our own blog. We cut it from 113 posts to 16, rewrote the 16 we kept, and sent each retired post to the closest live page with a 301 redirect. We checked all 198 old URL variants before calling it done. We also found 161 links still pointing at an old hosting address across 62 pages and posts, and fixed every one.
It’s the same checklist we run on a client site. A WordPress site keeps earning after launch when somebody keeps doing that work.
What every WordPress build from us includes
Design is the part you see. These four are the parts that decide whether the site still works for you in three years.
A theme picked for whoever edits the site
If you’ll update the site yourself, we set it up so adding a page or a blog post doesn’t need a developer. If you’d rather we run it, we still keep the editing simple. People change jobs, and the next person shouldn’t need a manual.
The plugins you need, and none you don’t
Every plugin is code somebody else maintains. We install what the site needs for forms, SEO and caching, and leave out the rest. Fewer plugins means fewer updates and fewer things to break.
Fast before launch, not after the complaints
We size images, cache pages and test on a phone before the site goes live. Oversized images and bloated pages are two of the web design mistakes that hurt SEO, and they’re cheaper to prevent than to fix.
SEO wired in from the first page
Titles, meta descriptions, XML sitemaps, clean URLs and redirects get set up during the build, not bolted on later. It’s the same setup we walk through in Learn WordPress SEO, and it’s why even our most basic project includes our basic web site promotion package. If your team wants to keep the site optimized after launch, our WordPress SEO training shows them how.
Moving to WordPress without losing your Google traffic
A redesign is where a lot of sites lose their rankings. Old URLs break, and the links other sites gave you end up pointing at nothing.
Before we launch, we map every old URL to its new home, set up the 301 redirects and test them. After launch we check Search Console for errors. Want to know where your current site stands first? Start with an SEO audit.
Hosting matters too. We host our own site at WP Engine, and our web hosting recommendations explain why.
Three WordPress sites we built, and what each one had to do
All three run on WordPress. Here they are from our web design portfolio, and each one started with a different problem.
Jewell Mechanical, Nashville HVAC
A locally owned Nashville heating, cooling and plumbing company since 2005. We started with an audit and query research, rebuilt the site’s information architecture around what their customers search for, and styled the new design from their existing logo. We kept working with them after launch on their blog and new content.
Scott Oldham Insurance, Gallatin, TN
Scott has provided insurance in the Gallatin area since 2008, and his customers can call him directly. He wanted a stronger online presence, so we redesigned his site with an SEO-friendly architecture and a design built to engage his current and future clients.
Implant Evolution, dental education
A journal dedicated to dental implants, written by implant experts for general dentists who want to treat implant patients in their own offices. The site serves two audiences at once: dentists who want to learn, and patients looking for an implant dentist.
