It’s usually pretty easy to find your Google Place Page for your business. Just Google for your company name and your city state. That should pull up a Google SERP that shows a link to your Place Page. If you don’t see it, try adding your zip code to the search.
Still not there? Try the same searches under Google Maps. If you’ve exhausted all these options, you may need to add your business to Google’s database of Places. Here’s how you do that.
If you’ve never added a business to Google Places before, make sure you’ve read both the Google Places quality guidelines and the Local listings content policy. You want to get the listing right the 1st time & not make a mistake that will come back to haunt you later.
Visit Google Place. Signin with your Google account or create an account.
Click Add new business.
Under Find your business search for your business by phone number to see if it’s already in Google & you weren’t able to already find it.
If you still don’t see it, click Add a new listing.
Fill in the info for your business. It’s best to give Google Places as much info as possible.
Pay special attention to selecting the right categories for your Google Place Page.
Add custom attributes but make sure you follow Google’s guidelines for these.
Verify your business with Google.
Once you’ve verified your business, you should be able to find your Google Place page in the normal Google results.
