Google has made some big changes over the past few weeks that have shaken up alot of websites.
They’ve targeted websites with low quality content… like article submission sites that have a copy of a copy of an article that’s barely readable. Google’s also discounted the value of low quality links… like the blogs you see promoting male enhancement, online casinos and some locksmith in Atlanta.
And Google has splashed across the major news outlets with public floggings of big brands like JCPenney, Forbes & Overstock. All 3 of them got caught doing dirty little black hat techniques to enhance their rankings in violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines.
Come to our monthly meetup on March 31. We’ll discuss these recent Google changes and what they mean to you.
We’ll also get back to basics with the Official Google SEO Starter Guide. Google’s put together a relatively simple roadmap for webmasters that want to improve their ranking results through SEO. This guide should be required reading for anyone who wants to rank better on Google. They’ve done a good job of making it simple enough for novices to understand but still helpful for experts in Search Engine Optimization.. like 2 the Top Design ๐
